Join us for a fun, family oriented, and educational tour of the beautiful St. Lawrence River. Guided by our staff Naturalist, this tour focuses on the River's natural features, including the geology, wildlife, and habitats that are unique to the Thousand Islands region. You will see Common Terns, Great Blue Herons, Loons, Ospreys, Double-Crested Cormorants, and other bird species. You will learn about the different ways the birds migrate, nest, and feed while they summer on the St. Lawrence River. Halfway through the tour we will dock at Picnic Point and enjoy a pleasant 30 minute walk on the Grindstone Island Nature Trail. This is a great opportunity for bird watching, and we may also spot a few Leopard Frogs or American Toads sunning on the trail. Back on the boat, other animals to look for are mink, turtles, fish and beavers. We will discuss the environmental issues that concern the St. Lawrence River, past and present, and what is being done to preserve this fragile and beautiful ecosystem. Bring your binoculars, walking shoes, and a spirit of adventure!  (3 hours)

A romantic tour you will never forget! Evenings on the River are a special treat, and one of the best times to witness many bird species fishing! Marvel at the terns diving headfirst into the water, or the osprey swooping feet outstretched, each emerging with a wriggling fish. Watch the Great Blue Herons wading along the shoreline, waiting for a tasty frog or fish to swim by. Even the mink get hungry, and can be seen slipping into the water to chase after their dinner. Twilight exposes the beauty of the islands and the river like you have never seen before, and should not be missed. Even better, bring along a bottle of wine and snacks, and join the wildlife for a unique dining experience! (1.5 Hours)

Adults: $12.00 Children: $6.00
